Ambrius, in Geoffrey of Monmouth’s Historia Regum Britanniae is the founder of the Cloister of Ambrius where Hengist and his Saxons treacherously slew the Britons. Ambrius had founded that monastery years before.

No mention is made of this figure by Wace or Lawman.
