Young Merlin is a top-down action-adventure game inspired by Arthurian legend, released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System console in 1994. It is similar to Nintendo's own The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, to which it has been compared.
This game follows Merlin in his younger years as he leaves his England home for another land and allies himself with the Lady of the Lake, in order to face the evil Shadow King who has taken control of the land. Gameplay is action-based, with an emphasis on puzzle-solving.
